Shark!

I realised my other hoodies section could do with a few more animals in it so I made a shark for my little monster!

According to my niece it looks like he’s being eaten by a shark!

If you would like to buy one send me a message to beth@bammboo.co.uk or come over and see me on facebook. Prices for sharks start at £17

Bear Hunt

Img_1621

I’ve been intending to make a ‘Bear Hunt’ for ages but never quite got around to it. Last week we were in a charity shop and found a box of animals for 30p each (bargain!) Eli chose a bear, a polar bear and a dinosaur. I tried to talk him into getting a zebra but he was having none of it!

As soon as we got home he asked me to help him make a cave so we covered an old ice cream tub with brown paper and then it developed from there. I think if I’d have prepared it in advance it would be prettier but it kept us busy for an hour or so.

The “deep cold river” – its more like a pond but never mind!

Pirate Mat

Eli loves his Dinosaur Mat and Train Mat so for my Nephew’s 3rd birthday I decided to make him one. Apparently he’s quite into pirates at the moment so I went with a pirate theme.

I googled pictures of treasure maps for inspiration but it’s completely my own design.

I put a bit of stuffing in the island to make it more 3d The treasure chest opens and contains real gold (ric rac)

and it rolls up neatly to throw in a bag.

The only problem is once it’s been rolled up a few times the tree doesn’t stand up very well, I’ll have to keep working on that.

Rainbow fairy

My niece requested a birthday present that came with a book. Her mum suggested a book from the Rainbow Fairy series. We settled on Lauren the Puppy Fairy. I adapted the patten from the Wee Wonderfuls book to create the doll and trousers and made up the top to fit around the wings

She is very cute, I’m really pleased with her. I don’t think I’ll be making a doll with trousers again any time soon though!
