I think this is pretty self explanatory!
I hope you’re having a happy Sunday!

Eli received some lovely planting sets from my brother and sister-in-law for his birthday last year. We put them away so we could do some planting in the spring and promptly forgot about them. (Sorry Aunty Kelly!)
Lately he’s obsessed with the Big and Small game on the cbeebies website where (amongst other things) he plants seeds and waters them until they grow. So I hunted down the things he already had and bought some compost and extra little pots and we did some planting.
When we’d finished making a terrible mess inside I put the remainder of the compost and the tools in the tuff spot
and he made a terrible mess outside!
Look at those hands!!
Here is one of the sets we had, there was also a smaller bucket with pumpkin seeds in. The tools are lovely and will be great for using at the beach.
We’ve kept the little pots safe so the seeds have a chance of growing and planted some beans in cotton wool. Hopefully something will grow before he gets bored of looking at them.
Here’s a couple of Dino Hoodies I’ve made for presents recently.
(This one does have arms, I have no idea why I photographed it like this!)
Other Hoodies I’ve made:
**If you’re interested in commissioning one of these or any hoodie please leave me a comment or email me at beth @ lysozyme.net (without the spaces) Prices start at £15 plus postage and packing for just prickles and £20 plus postage and packing for other designs**
This is the last of our activities from the weekend – it turns out a bank holiday weekend with a spotty toddler is a great motivator!
The idea and instructions are from Make, do and friend
E looked through the book and showed us what he wanted (and we looked at the website to see how to do it!!)
He’s loved playing with it and was somewhat able to retell the story. I’m thinking of ways we can use the duplo for other stories.
Eli’s starting to recover from chickenpox so we’re trying to find ways to keep him busy. He picked this while I was browsing my pinterest boards for inspiration. (Original idea here)
He really enjoyed it and it’s the kind of activity I like – it uses things we already have and the set up and clean up are really easy.
It’s a good one for outside as well (if the weather ever cheers up!)
