I love the idea of having words around the house – it must be the teacher in me! I pinned this one on pinterest. I wanted ‘play’ for the playroom and was mulling over it for a little while when I found some really cheap foam board in Hobbycraft. Of course I didn’t have an suitable yarn for wrapping it with so I decided to use fabric.
Initially I wrapped each letter in a different fabric but it looked a bit country-kitchen so I opted for one pattern for all of the letters.
We’ve had this photo-frame clock since just before Eli was born (he’s almost three!) I finally talked my lovely husband into sorting it out. He decided to recolour each of the photos to make a colour wheel. So quite a bit of work and a trip to Staples for some photo paper later this is what we ended up with:
Then Ben had the idea of making play into playtime. (He’s a clever one) We choose a different kind of font, I cut it out of black foam and we were finally done!
What do you think?
